LGBTQ/GLBTQ

LGBTQ/GLBTQ

To some, college and universities are "ivory towers" isolated from the larger society. A closer look lets us know that these academic entities are a mirror of the larger society, struggling with the same issues and prejudices. At WKU the Office of Diversity Programs strives to address issues of Homophobia and Heterosexism via our programming and the support of student organizations such as Student Identity Outreach. Every student is entitle to an education and the opportunity to be a productive member of our community. The academic success of our students is paramount along with the development of a healthy relationship with their alma mater.

ODP LGBTQ/GLBTQ INITIATIVES

We are developing a visibility campaign (modeled after the UCSF OUT/in campaign) by profiling faculty, staff, and students who work to support the mission of WKU. Participants will be profiled on our website and will record a podcast interview. If you would like to be profiled on the OUT/in campaign please email the director of ODP for more information.
