The WKU Department of Agriculture will hold its Industrial Hemp Conference and Field Day at the L.D. Brown Agricultural Exposition Center in Bowling Green on Tuesday, July 12^th.  The first 100 participants to register on-line will receive free registration that includes lunch.  Registration is $10.  The first 200 participants to register on-line will receive a field plot tour of current industrial hemp research being conducted at WKU’s Agriculture Research and Education Complex.  The conference includes updates on latest industrial hemp research from specialists at Western Kentucky University, University of Kentucky, and University of Tennessee.  Additionally, a roundtable discussion on the future of industrial hemp will be held at lunch that includes state and federal policy makers.   If you wish to be a participating vendor at this conference, the cost is $50.  If your company would like to sponsor this event beyond participating as a vendor, please contact the WKU Department of Agriculture at 270-745-3151.  Registration for participants and vendors as well as an agenda for the conference can be found at the following link:  http://www.wku.edu/expo/hempconference.php

All participants and vendors need to pre-register on-line at the above link.  Please remember to check your lunch choice during the registration process.
