Tips to make writing your thesis less stressful and more enjoyable!
- Meet with your advisor regularly to discuss your progress.
- Read the formatting guidelines thoroughly and review the sample documents early in your studies.
- Visit the WKU Writing Center for help with grammar and sentence/ paragraph construction challenges.
- Be keenly aware of all the deposition processes and deadlines for deposition with your advisor, department and graduate college. Each group needs time to review and approve your document. Students often underestimate the time required for these steps.
It is the responsibility of the author, the research supervisor, and the author's research committee to ensure the document is submitted using correct formatting, spelling and proper grammar. College Readers will thoroughly review each submission for formatting errors. College Readers will review 10 random pages for spelling and grammar. If errors are found, the College Reader will return the document for correction.
