In order to take any course at WKU you must first be admitted to the university. The only exception to this is for Independent Learning courses. You can apply online at www.wku.edu/admissions.
Once you are admitted, you will register for your courses. To register for semester based online courses, IVS, and Telecourses, use TopNet (see detailed steps for registration below).
To register for non-semester based Independent Learning courses, go through the Independent Learning website. *Please note Independent Learning courses do not require admission to WKU.
You may also find it helpful to review the Registration Guide for the upcoming semester. The Guide is available on the Registrar's Office website in the left hand column. The Guide is packed with useful information, such as priority registration dates, tuition and fee information, academic calendar information and more!
Step 1: Access TopNet through the internet at www.topnet.wku.edu. Click TopNet Login.
Step 2: Enter your WKU ID, then tab to the Personal Identification Number (PIN). Your PIN is set initially as the last 6 digits of your social security number. You are required to change your PIN to another 6-digit code the first time you access TopNet. Remember your new PIN and keep it confidential.
Step 3: Read the information items in the TopNet Bulletin Board, then click Continue at the bottom of the page.
Step 4: Click Student Services.
