Ice Climbing   -   Cedar Falls, IA

Shake off the winter blues and enjoy the frigid temps by getting outside and learning a whole new style of climbing!  We'll drive north to a grain silo that's been transformed into a frozen playground!  No experience necessary and all climbing equipment will be provided

Climb Nashville (E)  -    Nashville, TN

Join us for a trip down to one of Nashville's Indoor rock walls for a chance to enjoy some bouldering no matter what kind of winter weather we get!

Wild Cave Tour    -   Mammoth Cave National Park, KY

Join us for a true caving experience that explores the depths of  Mammoth Cave as you climb, crawl, and squeeze though parts of the cave that few visitors ever get to see!  Rangers will lead us on this 5 mile tour

*Sturdy, lace-up hiking boots w aggressive tread are required

**Chest or hip measurement must not exceed 42 inches in order to pass through crawlspaces

MEGA Underground Bike Park   -   Louisville, KY

Ever wondered what it would be like to go Mt Biking in a cave?  Come explore MEGA Caverns with us and find out!  Plenty of beginner-friendly trails to keep your skills from getting rusty during the winter months.  Get excited about this unique experience!

Spring Break:  Ocean Adventure    -    Florida Keys

Road-trip with us to find some warm, sunny beaches and ocean fun this Spring Break!  We will travel down through the Florida Keys, enjoying snorkeling, sea kayaking, paddle-boarding, camping, and much much more!  Don't miss out on this adventure!

Mt Bike:  Big Hollow Trail    -    Brownsville, KY

Come Mt Biking with us at one of our nearby trail systems that is super beginner-friendly, but also has some more advanced options, in case you'd like to test your skills!  Get away from campus for a day and enjoy some fresh air, rolling down the trails!

Day-Hike: Mammoth Cave National Park 

Spend some time away from the daily grind on campus and de-stress with some friends on casual day-hike in Mammoth National Park - home of the largest cave system in the world!

Mt Bike: Brown County, IN

Come along with us as the weather warms up and we head to the rolling hills of Indiana.  Brown County State Park is one of the best places to mountain bike in the region. We’ll bike, hike, and camp along the 20+ miles of trail within the park.

Whitewater Rafting : Chattooga River

Spend a weekend camping and riding the waves of Section III of the world-famous Chattooga River in North Carolina.  This wild ride has mostly Class II & III, but we wrap up our day with a run through class IV "Bull Sluice"!  This is a trip you won't want to miss!

Mixed Paddle    -    Nolin Lake, KY

Want to spend a day on the water, but not sure what kind of water-craft to paddle?  Come with us to Nolin Lake and try all 3 that ORAC has to offer: Canoe, Kayak, Stand-Up Paddleboard!

No experience necessary, out leaders will give instruction on how to paddle each and provide opportunities to switch up throughout the day

Yosemite National Park Adventure! - Yosemite, CA

Travel out West, farther than ORAC has ever gone before and explore the wonders of Yosemite National Park.  We will spend a couple nights backpacking in Yosemite Valley, visit icons like El Capitan, Glacier Point, and Half Dome.  Visit the sequoias of Mariposa Grove and see different parts of the park by horseback, bicycle, and raft!

 Trip registration takes place at the ORAC office in the Preston Health and Activities Center. Trip registration is first come, first serve. Unless otherwise noted, trip costs are all inclusive with the exception of meals. All pretrip meeting will be held in the upstairs Intramural Recreational Sports office (conference room). These meetings are mandatory unless prior arrangements have been made with the Leah Rossettie. Contact our office if you have any questions or need additional information.
