The Kentucky Museum and VSA arts of Kentucky are again partnering to produce an exhibition of artwork created during VSA arts workshops held at the museum. The exhibit features artwork of students with disabilities, area artists, and the artwork they have created collaboratively. VSA arts of Kentucky is a statewide, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting arts, education and creative expression for all, with an emphasis on persons with disabilities.

This competitive art exhibition is open to all professional and amateur artists living in Kentucky within a 65-mile radius of Bowling Green. The School of Journalism and Broadcasting’s photojournalism program announces the opening of Frankfort | The Land Between at the Mass Media and Technology Hall Gallery.

The exhibition of 37 prints and 22 video stories, collected form the more than 40,000 images and hundreds of hours of video, is the result of WKU Photojournalism’s annual Mountain Workshops. The exhibit is on display through Friday, March 18.

Gallery hours are 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. CT Sunday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT Monday-Wednesday; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Thursday-Friday.

Admission is free.

The School of Journalism & Broadcasting is proud to be presenting a screening of the documentary film OVERBURDEN followed by a Q&A session with the film’s director. This film, directed by Chad A. Stevens and produced by Elena Rue and Catherine Orr, took the 2015 film festival circuit by storm and has been rated by many as one of the top 10 documentary films of the year.


Stevens is a 1999 graduate of WKU PJ and was a faculty member at WKU from 2002 to 2006. This screening is free and open to the public. It will be a WKU “swipeable" event.
