Recommended Course Sequence

The following are suggested sequences of courses for students in the General (reference #760) and Extended (reference #591) psychology majors who wish to graduate in four years. They do not take into account individual differences among students in successfully completing courses or course availability. For most required psychology courses and psychology courses in restricted elective categories, the semesters the course is available appears after the course description in the course list. Both the General and the Extended Psychology Major require MATH 183 (recommended), or other mathematics course (excluding MATH 109) or an ACT score that satisfies the mathematics General Education requirement.

General Major The general major requires a minor. Students may minor in any subject listed in the WKU Catalog or Schedule Bulletin as a university minor.				Extended Major The extended major is recommended for the student who wishes to pursue a career and/or graduate study in psychology. The general major is intended for students who maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA overall and in psychology courses.
