WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Bio

David Porter has been with Stites & Harbison law firm since 1987 and is based in the Lexington office where his practice focuses on trusts and estate administration, estate planning and charitable giving, charitable and non-profit organizations, estate and gift taxes, probate and fiduciary law.  Porter is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky College of Law.  He is a Fellow and Kentucky State Chair of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the American Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association and Foundation, Fayette County Bar Association and Foundation, and Lexington Estate Planning Council.  Porter has served numerous civic and professional organizations, including the Kentucky Council on Higher Education from 1988-1996 and the Lexington Philharmonic Society.  Currently he is a board member of the Lexington Medical Society Foundation and the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation.  Porter is admitted to practice in Kentucky, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  His term on the board ends June 2020.
