About the ensemble

The WKU Chorale is open by audition to all university students.  Please see the auditions page for specific audition information.  Recent highlights include invited performances at the state KMEA convention (2019, 2014, 2010) and the ACDA Southern Division Convention (February 2018). The ensemble has also taken international tours to Spain (2025 and 2015) Costa Rica (2018 and 2020, the latter cancelled due to the pandemic), and Italy (2008).

The WKU Chorale collaborates regularly with the Southern Kentucky Choral Society and The Symphony at WKU to present major works. Performances in recent years have included the Requiems of Duruflé, Mozart, Garcia and Fauré, Mozart's Mass in C Minor, Bernstein Chichester Psalms, Hagenberg's Illuminare, Forrest's Jubilate, Requiem, Breath of Life and i thank you God, Poulenc's Gloria, Haydn's Paukenmesse, Brahms Requiem and Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem, Handel's Messiah and Orff's Carmina Burana
