Procedure for Preparing for Proctored Examinations

Under Construction - Check back soon!

All Students

When choosing the option you are going to use for your final exam, using DELO (Division of Extended Learning and Outreach) is NOT an option. Please do not contact DELO in an attempt to arrange taking a Final Exam. If you have a signed ADA accommodation agreement with your professor, you are required to arrange your Final Exam through Office of Student Disability Services for the location you have chosen.

You must take our survey that declares your intent in terms of location of exams. This does not schedule you for an exam, it is simply an audit tool used to notify test proctors.

All students also must record online which proctoring option they choose. Note that even if you make arrangements with a Regional Campus or KCTCS school you must still record that exam information online. Any student who does not record their information by Wednesday, May 3 at 8:00 AM will automatically be assigned to take their Final Exam on the WKU Main Campus. Follow these steps to record your information online:

  1.  Decide which location you want to take your Final Exam(s).  If you want to take your Final Exam at a WKU Regional Campus or a KCTCS school contact that school and make the necessary arrangements (See below for further instructions).
  2. Go to https://goo.gl/c3xwZz
  3. Record your exam information online.

WKU Bowling Green campus students

Students can take their exam(s) in Grise Hall room #236 at dates and times that will be published here. Note that this testing facility closes at the stated time, to take an exam you must be present 30 minutes prior to closing time. Be sure to allow time for parking; If you do not have a valid main campus WKU parking tag you should take parking into consideration. Do not attempt to park in a lot that only has parking meters; these meters only can be used for short parking periods. Valid parking options include parking off campus and walking onto campus or parking in the South Diddle Public Parking Lot at a rate of $1.50 per hour. You should also take into account the time involved in locating a parking spot and walking to Grise Hall. Additional parking information can be found at http://www.wku.edu/transportation/visitors/index.php

Students with access to WKU Regional campuses

Student's may take their exam(s) at one of WKU’s regional campus locations including Glasgow, Elizabethtown, or Owensboro. You must take your SM exam(s) on dates published each semester which will be posted here. Each regional campus has its own set of rules regarding proctoring an exam, please contact the location you plan to use for details.

Students that decide to use KCTCS campuses

Student's may take their exam(s) at one of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System [KCTCS] campuses for proctoring by that school. Note that some of these campuses may charge you a fee and that their scheduling process may vary by location. You must take your SM exam(s) on the dates published here each semester. KCTCS sites have their own set of rules regarding proctoring exams, so please contact the location you plan to use for more information.

Students that desire to use a testing location that is not on the pre-approved list

Students in this situation are required to identify an appropriate proctor/location and submit the person's name, relationship, and contact information at least 4 weeks prior to exams. Work with your individual professors to identify appropriate test proctors. They will deliver your request to the SM Program Coordinator for verification and approval. Please note that this approval is not automatic and failure to follow this procedure may result in not being permitted to take your exam(s).
