The Goals of The Caucus Are:

To identify the unique qualities of small special education personnel preparation programs

To address the unique needs of small special education personnel programs

To facilitate training activities which will enhance the knowledge and skills of faculty members in small special education personnel preparation programs

To facilitate information sharing among special education personnel preparation programs

To promote interprofessional support, collaboration, and linkage for the professional growth and improvement of faculty members in small special education personnel preparation programs

To facilitate and promote cooperation among small college special education personnel preparation programs and federal, state, and local education agencies

To facilitate support for innovation and development efforts by small special education personnel preparation programs

To communicate with various federal and state education agencies, national professional special education organizations, and various national and regional accreditation agencies

To promote and support the activities and policies of the Teacher Education Division and the Council for Exceptional Children in regard to special education personnel preparation
