About the Study Abroad Student Representatives Program
Study Abroad Student Representatives are a group of WKU study abroad alumni who are dedicated to promoting international learning opportunities available both on campus and abroad.
Currently there are two tracks for student volunteers. The Advising and Outreach Track and the Exchange Student Mentors.
Student Advising and Outreach Track
Give presentations about study abroad to classrooms, resident halls, student organizations, Fraternity's, and Sorority's.
Plan and work at study abroad events on campus and in the community.
- Serve as peer advisors in the study abroad office to help students find and prepare for study abroad programs.
Assist with pre-departure and student abroad information tables and sessions.
Exchange Student Mentors
Serve as peer advisors and mentors for students interested in participating in WKU exchange programs.
Work with incoming exchange students and serve as a resource for them during their stay at WKU.
Plan monthly activities for incoming exchange students.
Plan and implement programs on campus and in the community to promote exchanges.
