Major:

Broadcast Operations

When and where did you study abroad?

Spring 2013 - Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan

Tell us about your experience abroad:

I went to Japan knowing nothing about the culture or language. My mind was turned upside down adjusting to things that are the complete opposite to what I know as an American. I can definitely say I came back to the states with a better understanding of how people think and act according to their cultural. I would not change my study abroad experience for anything. I made life-long friends and learned so much about myself and the world.

What was your favorite moment abroad?

There is no way to describe a single favorite moment. There were so many that narrowing it down would be impossible. The whole experience was excellent.

What advice would you give to other students thinking about studying abroad?

This is the chance of a lifetime. For me it was now or never. WKU gives you all the tools you need to go abroad at an affordable cost. Take advantage of it and explore the world!
