Office: Study Abroad and Global Learning
Abby Leake, originally from Chesapeake, VA, graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, with a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies and Asian Studies. She went on to pursue her Master of Arts at East Carolina University in International Studies with a concentration in International Higher Education Administration. While studying at East Carolina University, Abby served in the Office of International Affairs, Department of Foreign Languages, Department of International Studies and the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center.
Before joining the SAGL team, she interned in the International Relations office at the University of Oulu, Finland and she worked in the Office of International Programs at Presbyterian College (PC) in South Carolina. In her role at PC, she served as the International Student Coordinator, Study Abroad Advisor and the community programmer in the Carol International House, an intentional living learning community comprised of international and American college students.
In her current role, Abby manages the SAGL Student Rep program and advises WKU students on all exchange programs, Harlaxton College, Semester at Sea and programs in Asia. She is also the coordinator for inbound international SAGL exchange students.
