WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Here is a link to the University’s attendance policy during adverse weather conditions. Use caution and watch for slick spots on roads and walks.

Secondary Education Advisor

The Office of Teacher Services is pleased to provide the service of an academic advisor for the secondary education programs for Grades 8-12, P-12, and 5-12. The services provided include:

  • Coordinating orientation for new and transfer students
  • Individual advising for registration of courses
  • Assisting with degree and certification programs

Each of the services listed above will be provided by appointment with the advisor. In order to accommodate the needs of all of the education majors, the advisor welcomes appointments well in advance of the priority registration period. As a Secondary Education major, you will have two advisors. One advisor will be through the academic department and will assist you with the content area advising. The other will be through the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences and will assist you with the advisement of your professional education classes. The College of Education and Behavioral Sciences Secondary Education advisor can be reached in Gary A. Ransdell Hall 2052, by phoning 270-745-4897, or by e-mail.
