The Academic Advising & Retention Center (AARC) is committed to providing a comfortable, friendly, distraction free environment where WKU students can study, obtain tutoring for academic courses and/or academic skills areas, or use our computer lab for academic purposes. We cannot accomplish any of these goals without a qualified, outgoing staff. At AARC it is important for our employees to be exemplary students. A minimum Overall GPA of 3.25 is required for Tutors and/or PASS Leaders, Front Desk Monitors/Computer Lab Monitors, and Peer Intrusive Advisors. We also require students to complete at least one semester of coursework at WKU. This allows our student employees to be familiar with various campus resources which may prove beneficial to others.
