Sigma Kappa

General
Sigma Kappa Sorority was founded at Colby College in Waterville Maine on November 9th 1874 by five strong women who believed in sisterhood, academics and service. Since that day when Sigma Kappa started we have strived to keep those ideals as a part of our sisterhood. At a officer retreat in January 2010 we took on our own chapter motto "Why be ordinary, when you can be extraordinary?" this motto can be found in chapter emails and is a little reminder for us each and every day to be extraordinary sisters by supporting one another in every way we can, by being extraordinary students by striving to do our best in our classes and by being extraordinary citizens to the community by supporting organizations and giving back to the community and helping others.
