Welcome to Information Literacy Now!

In Information Power: Building Partnerships for Learning, the American Library Association identifies information literacy as "...the ability to find and use information...the keystone of lifelong learning" (AASL & AECT, 1998).

As a future librarian, my goal is to secure a position which affords me the opportunity to guide students on their journey to become information-literate, lifelong learners capable of functioning and thriving in the global learning community.

This site includes learning plans developed for LME 535 Survey of Educational Technology. The learning plans were designed for entry-level college students enrolled in an information literacy Library Skills course.  However, I feel the plans would also work for most high school students and could be adapted for other age groups.

If you would like, you are welcome to use what you find here.  All I ask is that you
secure permission from, and display copyrights for, the outside resources.  And please,
drop me an e-mail.  I would love to hear from you.

Kindest regards,

-Mona
