WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Here is a link to the University’s attendance policy during adverse weather conditions. Use caution and watch for slick spots on roads and walks.

Lisa Murphy has worked with infants and toddlers with developmental delays since 1990.  Working with young children has always been her passion and she feels fortunate to share in the lives of so many young children and their families. Lisa’s Bachelor’s degree is in Child Development and Psychology from Berea College and her Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education is from Western Kentucky University.  During her years with First Steps she has served children and families in many capacities.  Lisa has worked as a Primary Service Coordinator, Developmental Interventionist, Early Intervention Center Director, as well as a Primary Developmental Evaluator.  She has worked with children with diverse needs and abilities from birth through seven years of age, including Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, prematurity, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Attention Deficit (ADHD), as well as generalized global developmental delays, behavioral difficulties, and speech/language disorders.  She is particularly interested in autism and has worked with many young children on the spectrum utilizing effective autism interventions.
