Articulation Agreements

Articulation agreements detail the articulation of courses or programs between WKU and another institution for the purpose of awarding credit and/or educational program completion credentials.  The current WKU articulation agreements are housed in a database, and available for review at: .  A WKU NetID username and password are necessary to access the database information.

Templates for articulation agreements are available to guide development, and below are two examples:

  • Transfer of credits between two institutions (2+2)
  • Joint Undergraduate and Master’s Program (JUMP)

However, it is important to work with the Associate Vice President for Planning and Program Development (AVP) in such agreements.  If the agreement involves an international partner, please also work with the WKU Office of International Programs (OIP).  The WKU policy on Academic Articulation Agreements is attached, and includes the procedure for approval, review, and marketing.  Joint and Dual Academic Award agreements require specific reporting to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and the attached policy guides the process.
