First Year Student Basics

Welcome to Western Kentucky University! The information on the right side of the page cover some of the basic information WKU students need to be aware of regarding their academic life. The transition from high school to college is not always the easiest and hopefully the links to the right can provide a little help to make it an easier transition.

Every WKU student will need to know about registering for classes, choosing a major, grades, and advising. All that information is there for WKU student use.

The staff of the Academic Advising & Retention Center pride ourselves on being available to students at WKU. We want to help in your path toward graduation and learning many of the items found on the right hand side of the screen will help you do that in a timely manner.
