WKU WEATHER ALERT:

WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Here is a link to the University’s attendance policy during adverse weather conditions. Use caution and watch for slick spots on roads and walks. 

Residence Halls remain open until noon Saturday. Bemis & Barnes have space for those who need to stay longer. Visit WKU Housing & Residence Life for more information.

Bio

Lauren Cunningham is a native of Louisville, KY but has lived in Bowling Green for little over ten years. As  Community Engagement Coordinator for the ALIVE Center, Ms. Cunningham ensures that WKU students, faculty and staff stay connected to Bowling Green's larger community through service-learning initiatives & partnerships, community-based research opportunities and through The $100 Solution (TM) program.

 

Prior to Ms. Cunningham’s work with the ALIVE Center, she was the Director of Kaleidoscope Youth Arts Program in Bowling Green, a Resident Hall Director for the department of Housing and Residence Life at WKU and taught classes on WKU's South Campus as a part-time Adjunct Instructor for the department of Academic Support. Ms. Cunningham also serves as campus advisor for two student organizations at WKU and is board chairperson for a local non-profit called Light of Chance. Ms. Cunningham personally believes that we all must strive to "be the change we wish to see in the world" and through collaboration, positive and supportive relationships with those in our community we can truly make a difference together.
