Homecoming 2012 Continued Education Course

Dental Assisting

 The "Dental Assisting for Today" course is designed to prepare students to become a productive member of a dental team as a chair side dental assistant. The course includes essential information about dental team as a chair side dental assistant. The course includes essential information about dental anatomy and physiology, dental health, infection control, basic dental assisting, radiology, dental materials, dental front office administration, and coronal polishing. Upon completion of the course; a certificate will be awarded making the participant eligible for registration as a Dental Assistant in the state of Kentucky. An analysis of pre-clinical dental assisting skills will be made through lectures, hands on laboratory experiences and web enhanced instruction. The course will be offered conveniently on weekends with face to face meetings as well as online studies for a total of 15 weeks.
