Welcome to the Biotechnology Center
The Biotechnology Center at Western Kentucky University was established to facilitate hands-on educational opportunities for Biology students and to provide technical and educational services and faculty research. The Biotechnology Center is a part of Western's Applied Research and Technology Program (ARTP). The center is now housed in the Complex for Engineering and Biological Science (CEBS), which is a state-of-the-art building used for life science research.
The goals of the Biotechnology Center
* To expand student research and training opportunities.
* To provide support for faculty research.
* To provide or implement new technologies as they become available or needed.
* To develop interdisciplinary activities which utilize biotechnology, including the integration of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and engineering.
