College Heights Foundation
Born nearly a century ago out of compassion and love of students when a WKU faculty member gave $100 to President Cherry in order to help needy students, the College Heights Foundation has grown into a scholarship fund of over $50 million—all the while continuing to be motivated by those ideals from which it came: compassion and love of students. From the time the College Heights Foundation was chartered in 1923, its primary mission has been the administration of funds entrusted to its care by supportive alumni, corporations, organizations, and other friends for the purpose of helping deserving students obtain an education. CHF exists primarily to administer scholarships and aid worthy students enrolled at Western Kentucky University. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors made up of twelve prominent business and professional leaders who serve without remuneration. It is a fully-qualified, tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The College Heights Foundation is proud to provide scholarship assistance to worthy and deserving students attending Western Kentucky University. The CHF serves as the “Guardian of Trusts” to more than 1,200 different scholarship funds that each tell their own unique story.
