WKU graduate Rachel Reetzke of Franklin has been awarded a Fulbright Grant that will allow her to travel to China and conduct research. She participated in the Chinese Flagship program and is a graduate of the Honors College at WKU with a degree in communication disorders.
Flagship Student 1 of 3 Recognized by Goldwater Program
Three WKU students have been recognized by the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program. Since 2007, more students from WKU have been recognized by the Goldwater program than from any other college or university in Kentucky.

Allie Surina, Will Meredith and J.P. Stovall, all students in the WKU Honors College and the Chinese Flagship Program, will travel to China for 7-10 weeks of intensive language instruction.

Darra Jackson, a member of the inaugural class of the WKU Chinese Flagship Program, has been awarded a multi-year Chinese Government Scholarship, funded by the China Scholarship Council and China’s Ministry of Education.
Students Win Scholarships to Study in China for Summer Program
WKU students Sara Moody and Alyssa Surina are the recipients of scholarships from the Foundation for Asia Pacific Education. Moody received a $1,000 scholarship from the Foundation and Surina’s scholarship was $500.
