Job stress leads to a variety of physical complaints and comes from multiple factors. The most common are negative competition, lack of control and work overload. Given the enormous impact that stress can have on a company's productivity, health costs and ultimate profitability, employers are actively searching for ways to reduce worker stress. This workshop will provide some useful coping techniques for members of an organization.
The participant will learn to: (1) identify the major stressors in your life (2) determine subtle issues that may be increasing your stress, (3 identify what you can and can’t control in life, and (4) identify the elements of the stress cycle, (5) recognize your physical responses to stress, (6) discuss the effects of moods on stress, and (7) implement strategies for dealing with stress when in bad mood.
