ELDER ABUSE

 Every year, more than two million disabled, elderly, and other vulnerable citizens are victims of physical and emotional abuse, neglect and exploitation. For indicators of abuse and other information click here.

 

REPORTING ABUSE

Kentucky is a mandatory reporting state. (Reference KRS 209.030) If you suspect elder abuse, you are legally required to report it. You can report abuse at the 24 hour toll free hotline 1-800-752-6200, calls can be made anonymously.

 

BECOME INFORMED

Kentucky Legal Aid strives to assist and enable low income families, elderly, disabled and other vulnerable individuals in South Central and Western Kentucky to resolve legal problems that are barriers to self sufficiency, and to provide these individuals an opportunity for an improved quality of life. Become knowledgeable of elder abuse and how to prevent and report it!
