The Family and Consumer Sciences major at WKU is comprised of 79 hours in the major and 49 hours of general education. The following chart shows course requirements for this major:
PROGRAM FOCUS: The central purpose of the program is to prepare graduates who can successfully assume the positions of family and consumer sciences educators in middle and secondary schools. The graduate will have a broad family and consumer sciences knowledge base as well as the ability to teach others how to use this information to improve personal and family life.
