“Dark Side of the Moon: 50 Years in a Heartbeat”

Fridays 6pm & 8, and some Saturdays

$15 per ticket, though not yet available.  This is the show created for the album that was made for planetariums in 1973.  Watch NASA missions past, present, and future, and see how this conveys the themes of the album.  This is not a laser show.

We are the only venue within 200 miles with this show, and when we ran it in 2023, it sold out nearly every showing.  Note: this show will be loud.

Ticketing link soon to come

the Hardin Planetarium is shaped with a smooth dome on top, and is mounted on a column which curves outward as it reaches up to the main floor levelHardin Planetarium has a full dome of 40 feet, with a 360° surround view by way of a Digitalis Epsilon digital projector. All of this is done in a classic 1967 (the oldest in KY) architectural icon of the WKU campus. We custom design most of our own shows for public education, and all either are or include live interactive performances.
