The Passport to Wellness Series is provided to help students gain skills that they can use to aid them in making healthier choices through monthly programming. Some of the topics covered are Exercise, Nutrition, Alcohol, Sexual Health, Finances and more. Click here to preview one of the sessions. After attending the sessions last year, students reported gaining the following:
- Information on the FAFSA.
- Techniques for relaxation.
- How to communicate in relationships.
- Exercises that can be performed at home or outside of the gym.
- How to study, take notes and manage time.
- Knowlege of safer sex and more!!

Passport to Wellness Series 2012-2013
|September 19||Get the Plays for Self D-fense||This session will focus on campus safety and defending yourself on campus. Ways to improvise in a dangerous situation will be discussed, as well as how to use self defense weapons like pepper spray. WKUPD will be present to help demonstrate.|
|October 17||Have Swag! Tips to Stay Clean, Cool and Collected||This session will cover germs in your environment. Tips will also be provided on how to keep your dorm room clean and have proper dorm etiquette.|
|November 14||What's the Ying to Your Yang? Take the Stress Out of Your Brain -||This session will include a discussion about staying mentally healthy and the dangers stress can impose on your mental health. Games and activities will be provided to help you de-stress!|
|December 5||One Size Fits You!||This session will be interactive! Participants will learn stretches and exercises that can be useful for increasing muscles mass or decreasing weight. The session will focus on healthy weight gain and loss through exercise. By the end of this program, you will be able to find what size fits you!|
|February 13||YOLO? You Might End Up SOLO!||Living in the moment might have long term consequences. Check this session out to get advice on everything from romantic relationships to friendships.|
|Herpes Are Red, Some Condoms Are Blue, Sex Can Be Good, But Don't Let STD's Get You||This session is all about sexual health. Come ready to ask questions. Info will be given about contraceptive use, STD's and other sexual health issues.|
|April 17||Don't Loan Your Life Away||A representative from the WKU Financial Aid Office will be present to explain different options for financial aid. The representative will explain different types of loans along with the best way to pay them off quickly. Don't know what you should and shouldn't use a loan for? This question will also be answered during this program.|
|May 1||A Healthy Smile Can Go A Mile||This session is all about the benefits of great oral health. This is a topic that is often overlooked. Come check this Passport to Wellness out to receive tips of keeping teeth healthy and preventing bad breath.|
