Application for an on-campus apartment is a separate application from applying for a residence hall room. If you are a current on-campus residence hall resident and are planning on staying on campus during the upcoming academic year, regardless of WKU apartment application status, please ensure that you also re-apply for on-campus housing in February/March during housing renewal.
The WKU Apartments application is currently closed. The apartments are full for the upcoming year with an extensive wait list. Please check back at a later date for more information regarding how to apply for the WKU Apartments.
Initial application valid until:
- When an apartment accommodation offer is made, or
- Until the latest acceptable move-in date noted on the application, or
- 6 months from the earliest move-in date noted on the application.
- Applicant terminates application.
An applicant, who wants to remain on the wait list beyond the time noted above, may renew the application before it expires by filling out an application renewal form. See below.
Applications will be given priority based on the date received. If you were already on the apartment wait list before the new application process you will keep your spot on the wait list, but you will have to fill out a new application in order to ensure your spot.
Offering of an Apartment
Offers for apartments are made by email. Correspondence will be sent to the student's WKU email address. Applicants are to respond through their WKU email.
Acceptance of Offer
To accept an offer, the applicant must respond to firstname.lastname@example.org by date stated in offer and without delay. The appropriate leasing personnel must receive the required documents and monetary consideration as stated in the offer, or the offer will be considered void.
Changing Accommodation Preferences
After submitting an initial application, some applicants may consider changing their accommodation preferences. If you have a change you can email that change to email@example.com.
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
Many properties are already accessible for students with disabilities. If you have special needs because of a disability, you must note this on your application. You may also visit www.wku.edu/sds for more information.
