The USBank 2013 "Celebration of the Arts" Open Art Exhibition opened with a gala reception and awards ceremony on March 1. The exhibit is on view through April 6.

The Kentucky Museum, on WKU's campus, houses history, arts & culture, with an outstanding quilt and textile collection, extensive archeological and ethnic holdings, also fine and decorative arts. Permanent exhibits include the life of local celebrity, Duncan Hines; a look at the Civil War from a local perspective; a decorative arts gallery ranging from an Egyptian sarcophagus to 1970s macramé; plus a gallery of regional quilts. Changing galleries display a variety of themes, with community exhibitions and university-class designed and installed exhibitions. Annual events include the USBank art show. Christmas in Kentucky, summer camps and Founder's Day. In addition, the 1815 Log House displays building techniques, furniture, tools and clothing authentic to the 1810s time period. Award winning, hands-on programs for school classes and educational workshops for adults, lectures, and festivals round out the offerings at the Kentucky Museum.
A visit would not be complete without a trip to the Museum Store featuring a variety of items related to the museum's collection.
