Girl Scouts
The Kentucky Museum offers a variety of Girl Scout programs for Brownie, Junior, and Cadette. These include field trips to the Museum to complete segments of Brownie Color & Shapes or Listening to the Past and Junior and Cadette field trips for Local Lore, Visual Arts, Folk Arts as well as Drawing and Painting. The Kentucky Museum also offers a signature patch program where Scouts learn about the history of the Museum and explore its collections. Scout Troops are also welcome to sign up for one of the Kentucky Museum’s workshops, where you can design a workshop just for your troop!

Boy Scouts
The Kentucky Museum offers a variety of programs for both Cub and Boy Scouts. Scouts learn about the history of the Kentucky Building and explore Kentucky Museum exhibits and collections while earning the Kentucky Library & Museum Signature Patch. Scout Troops are also welcome to schedule a field trip to tour the Kentucky Museum’s 1815 Felts Log House and the Civil War exhibit, A Star in Each Flag: Conflict in Kentucky. Field trips offer hands-on activities like trying on Civil War costume and bandaging wounds, Civil War style. If you wish to learn a craft or practice an art you can sign up for your own Kentucky Museum workshop.
