About Uncle Boonmee
On his deathbed, Uncle Boonmee takes a mental journey through his existence guided by the spirit of his dead wife and his reincarnated son. Winner of the Palm d'Or at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, Apichatpong Weerasethakul's intensely personal film uses Uncle Boonmee's reflections to come to terms with death and reincarnation while interrogating Thailand's national concerns through a spiritual lens.
