The Office of Scholar Development at WKU is sponsoring a "Day of Workshops" on Thursday (Feb. 7) to raise campus awareness of nationally competitive scholarships and other opportunities for research, creative work and professional development.

Twenty-eight WKU students will present research during the 2013 Posters-at-the-Capitol event Feb. 21 in Frankfort.

WKU will celebrate the opening of a new geology lab at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 5).

The annual Macy's Used Book Sale will be held Feb. 8-10 at Bowling Green's Historic L&N Depot.

WKU-Glasgow will host a celebration from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 7 to commemorate its 25th anniversary.

About 400 children on 42 teams will gather at Diddle Arena on Saturday (Feb. 2) for the Kentucky FIRST LEGO League's State Robotics Competition.

Educational Talent Search (ETS) at WKU will welcome high school freshmen and their parents from eight area counties to WKU's South Campus on Feb. 9 for the annual "Freshman Frenzy" event.

WKU's Department of Theatre and Dance opens its 2013 season Feb. 1-3 with The Dance Project, an intriguing show that involves more than 30 students performing nine different pieces.

"Celebrating the Diversity of Research in the Mammoth Cave Region" is the theme of a research symposium Feb. 14-15.

The spring 2013 Study Abroad Fair at WKU will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 6 at Mass Media and Technology Hall.
