If you have taken at least one 300-level course, you are eligible to earn credit through internship experiences in which you use the target language most of the time. Internship credit is available for Arabic, Chinese, French, German, and Spanish. You must work 50 hours per credit hour you intend to earn. Credit is variable from 1-3 and repeatable for up to 6 credits total. If approved, you and the faculty member who supervises your internship will establish a syllabus that outlines how you will document your work. Grades are generally based on a final evaluation by the work supervisor, the weekly log and the interview.
Please submit the On-line Internship Pre-Application Form by the deadline stated on the form. For more information on the application process, contact your advisor in Modern Languages.
