Jeff Bright, Associate Director of Bands, was selected to receive the 2013 Excellence in Teaching Award from the Potter College of Arts and Letters. The winners of this award from the four colleges will be evaluated in the Spring of 2013 by a university selection committee, who will choose the university winner of this award.

Robyn Swanson, University Distinguished Professor of Music Education and Marty Boman, Director of the Kelly Autism Program (KAP) and Professor of Special Education have been selected to present their research regarding Music and Movement P-12 Curriculum-Assessment for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) at The Fourth International Symposium on Assessment in Music Education (ISAME) in Taipei, Taiwan, April 9-13, 2013. Robyn designed the curriculum, instruction and assessment materials in 2011 for the students to attend KAP.
