Jennifer Brennan-Hondorp, soprano, maintains an active performing schedule on the concert, opera and musical theatre stage. Highlights of past seasons include appearances with the New England Symphonic Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, Osaka Telemann Chamber Orchestra in Tokyo and Osaka, Oregon Bach Festival Ensemble, Grand Rapids Symphony, Duke Chapel Orchestra, Detroit Civic Symphony Orchestra, Michigan State University Symphony Orchestra, and the Bowling Green Western Symphony Orchestra.
Her stage experience includes performances in the roles of Alice Ford, Gretel, Papagena, Gianetta, Cinderella, Hodel, as well as originating principal roles in Broadway Backstage, and Razzmatazz.. As a recitalist and chamber musician, Ms. Brennan-Hondorp has performed at the Aspen Music Festival, the Hot Springs Music Festival and the Idyllwild Music Festival. She has made recital appearances at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, the Grand Rapids Symphony's Mozart Festival, and with Astral Artistic Services in Philadelphia. She was a finalist in the Naumburg, Lotte Lenya, and the American Bach Society national competitions.
In addition to performing, Ms. Brennan-Hondorp teaches voice at Western Kentucky University and maintains an active private studio. She has been a vocal instructor at the junior high, high school and college levels in California, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Ms. Brennan-Hondorp received a B.M. in Music Education Choral/Vocal from Cal State University, Long Beach, and an M.M. in Vocal Performance from Temple University.
