Student Organization Resources
Resident Organizations have a special relationship with the Office of Insitutional Diversity and Inclusion. Based on a mutual cooperative agreement resident organizations and OIDI work on a variety of programs that enhance the climate for diversity, social justice, leadership and intellectual growth.
Attention all organizations! You MUST register with the Office of Student Affairs every year to be recognized as a student organization on campus. SA keeps on file all registrations and constitutions and lets interested students know about your organization. All organizations must submit a copy of their constitution – even if no changes have been made – to complete the registration process.
Does your organization's constitution need a face-lift? Is the information outdated or inaccurate? OIDI can help you spruce up this document for your organization. To have the OIDI review your constitution, drop it by 425 Potter Hall or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Leadership workshops and presentations are available upon request for student leaders and organizations who are interested in a program designed specifically for the needs of their group. Workshops cover a wide variety of topics that can be presented at any time in any location.
Want to host your meeting at the OIDI office? Send us an e-mail requesting a reservation. Please include the date, time frame, technical needs and contact information.
The OIDI has available for student use a message center, fax machine, copier, computer services to include internet access, ticket sales, website design and audio/video services.
The OIDI can help you handle your organization effectively. We consult with leaders facing challenges or problems. We help leaders develop and present successful programs, organize group retreats, and develop team-building sessions.
During summer orientation, new students can complete an interest card which will be forwarded to the organization(s) of their choice. This is a great way for all students to receive more information about clubs and organizations. If you are interested in an organization you have read about, send us an e-mail. We will put an interest card in the organization's box. They will follow up with you directly.
