Warren County Emergency Management

Western Kentucky University maintains 26 Community Outdoor Warning System (COWS) units to alert citizens of threatening weather. In the event of a tornado warning or other emergency, these warning device are activated. In addition to the COWS warning, W.K.U. Police will initiate a pyramid telephone warning system. Each of these contacts will then initate a pyramid to notify their respective areas.
