WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Here is a link to the University’s attendance policy during adverse weather conditions. Use caution and watch for slick spots on roads and walks.

Do I need SEE?

Freshman are required to complete developmental courses if their ACT scores fall below:

♦ English ACT Score - Below 16
♦ Reading ACT Score - Below 18
♦ Math ACT Score - Below 22

Courses offered in SEE:

♦ Fundamentals of Composition
♦ College Reading Strategies
♦ Intermediate Algebra

Who Should Take Developmental Courses?

The Council on Postsecondary Education now requires developmental courses for beginning freshmen whose ACT* scores fall within the range below:

  ACT Score Appropriate
English Below 16 DENG 055C
Reading Below 18 DRDG 080C
Math (General) Below 19 **
Math (Algebra) Below 22 **

*  If you took the SAT, please call (270) 780-2553 to see where the scores fall in this range.

** Math course placement is based on scores from the Accuplacer Exam and Math Placement Exam (MPE).
