The Student Government Association welcomes all students to give input and to get involved.  Students can serve in the SGA in many ways, whether as a SGA officer or by working as the student representative on  a university committee.  Each student on the Hill has unique perspectives and ideas regarding the issues we face; the SGA can only address all these issues with your help.

 

Why should I get involved?

  • To make a difference. Students are the reason this University exists – our opinions matter.
  • To get gain diverse experiences. SGA represents all students and organizations at WKU, allowing for many diverse opportunities.
  • To gain leadership experience. Involvement in SGA gives you tools you need to be a successful leader.
  • To meet people and obtain contacts that can help you in your college life and after you leave Western.

 

How do I join SGA?

Stop by our SGA office (Cravens Library 012, Student Activities Suite) to ask about open positions or sit in on one of our weekly Student Senate meetings (Tuesday, 5 p.m.). The Student Senate meets in Cravens Library 111.
