Welcome to SRC

The Student Research Conference is a venue for students who have engaged in research, creative endeavors, and other scholarly activities at WKU. Students wanting to participate in the conference have two options in how they choose to present their research, creative endeavors, or scholarly activities. These are listed below.

Oral Presentations (Paper/Performance/Presentation Sessions)

Students must submit an abstract consisting of a maximum of 250 words. After abstracts are submitted students will be notified when they are scheduled to present. Students will have 10 minutes to present and 5 minutes will be allotted for questions. Oral presentations are used by different fields of study in various ways, ranging from reading a paper to delivering an oral talk, such as PowerPoint presentations, to a performance or demonstration. Winners will be posted to the website by the end of the day.

Posters (Poster Sessions)

Students must submit an abstract consisting of a maximum of 250 words.  After abstracts are submitted students will be notified when they are scheduled to present their poster to the judges. They will have 6 to 8 minutes to explain the information on the poster and 2 minutes for questions, for a total of 10 minutes. Winners will be posted to the website by the end of the day.
