Ways to help the Herald and Talisman

Volunteer your time

Our doors are always open to you! We're always looking for eager alumni and other professionals to speak to current students. You're welcome to spend a Herald production afternoon (Mondays for the Tuesday papers and Thursdays for the Friday papers) at the Adams-Whitaker Student Publications Center. Talisman staffers also welcome alums and others back to visit. You can work with students, give advice or just share fond stories when you were on staff. Or we'd love to have you attend or speak at one of our workshops or training sessions.

Hire a staffer

Looking to make a hire? Have a part-time or internship position you are trying to fill? We know where our alumni are, and have students eager to gain experience. Email Chuck Clark or Bob "Mr. A" Adams.

Our alumni from WKU Student Publications are a generous lot. Alumni contributed to a campaign that raised more than $1 million to build the Adams-Whitaker Student Publications Center. The 6,500-square-foot center opened in January 2008, a $1.6 million project that was a joint venture with WKU. We have a rich tradition of alumni support, and your financial help is always welcome and helps keep us going! Contact us for information on how you can help.
