Bio
Katherine Hale graduated from Western Kentucky University and the Honors Program in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, German, and Religious Studies. While pursuing her undergraduate degree at WKU, she studied abroad for a semester in Mexico and a semester in Austria. Since graduation, she has worked in a few different positions. She served as a Residential Counselor for nearly two years at the Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science at WKU, a live-in high school for gifted students in the areas of math, science, technology and engineering. She also taught ESL and served as a Spanish Interpreter/Translator at an elementary school in Bowling Green. In 2010 she worked as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Argentina, where taught English at the university level, held reading workshops for children, and volunteered at a local orphanage. She ended up meeting her husband in Argentina. They have just recently moved to Kentucky and gotten married.
Katherine advises students on Latin America, Europe, Australia, Fiji, and New Zealand.
