The Talley Family Counseling Center (TFCC) is a training center for master’s students in the counseling programs in the department of Counseling and Student Affairs in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. The TFCC is located in Gary A. Ransdell Hall at Western Kentucky University. Counseling services are provided by specially selected advanced master’s degree students under the supervision of Counseling and Student Affairs faculty. Services are provided free of charge to students at Western Kentucky University and community members.

The primary mission of TFCC is to facilitate the development of highly effective counselors and provide free counseling services to members of the WKU and surrounding communities. Under the supervision of Counseling and Student Affairs faculty, services are provided free of charge to students at Western Kentucky University and community members.

With an emphasis on diversity, TFCC empowers all practicum and intern students while providing challenging opportunities for students to reach their full potential. Training opportunities are held regularly to promote knowledge and application of effective counseling theories, therapeutic interventions and techniques.

The TFCC mission and clinic experiences are designed to support WKU’s mission, which “prepares students of all backgrounds to be productive, engaged, and socially responsible citizen-leaders of a global society.
