Degrees Offered
The Department of Theatre & Dance offers a baccalaureate degree and a minor in dance. In order to major in Dance you must audition and be accepted into the program.

Bachelor of Arts in Dance
The B.A. in Dance is designed to provide a solid foundation in the discipline of dance. A minor (or double major) in another field is also required. The B.A. in Dance is a 44 credit hour program. You must achieve at least level 5 in either Ballet or Jazz and level 3 in a second genre in order to graduate.

Dance Minor
The Dance Minor provides students who have an interest in dance but do not want a bachelor degree with the opportunity to continue their studies in the area of dance. The Dance minor is a 27 credit hour program. You must achieve at least level 4 in either Ballet or Jazz and level 3 in a second genre in order to complete the minor.
General Education Courses
The Department of Theatre & Dance offers 12 different dance courses that can be used to fulfill general education requirements.
Honors Dance Courses
Each semester the dance program offers several honors courses. Past offerings have included classes in ballet, jazz and modern as well as Dance in Culture.
