Iota Phi Theta



The Fraternity was founded by 12 extraordinary men during the civil rights movement on September 19, 1963. Since its creation, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. has become one of the fastest growing predominately African American fraternities in the U.S. Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. is committed to growth, change, giving back to the community, and making significant contributions to the campus of Western Kentucky University. The Eta Rho Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. was charted on the campus of Western Kentucky University March 11, 2010. We are committed to upholding the five principles Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity, and Brotherhood among men, on which we were founded upon. The Men of Iota embrace individualism, diversity, and welcome unique young men to become a part of our brotherhood. WKU Iotas will continue our founder's vision of "Building a Tradition, Not Resting Upon One"!
