We can speak to your class about several career-related topics, including the following:

  • Utilizing the CCPD's services
  • Deciding on a major or career path
  • Benefiting from internships and co-ops
  • Preparing for a job search
  • Developing interview skills
  • Developing a resume
  • Preparing for a career fair

Also, we can customize presentations to meet your needs.

Fill out this online Presentation Request Form to secure your spot today.

Ask about legal issues in recruiting.

Faculty and staff members with questions about legal guidelines for recruiting and providing references should contact the CCPD by calling (270)-745-3095 or emailing CareerHelp@wku.edu.  A Faculty Guide to Ethical and Legal Standards in Student Hiring from the National Association of Colleges and Employers can also provide specific information in these areas.

FYI:  As employers contact you to share job opportunities with students, please note that the CCPD provides a campus-wide job listing service that allows students fair and equal access to job notices.  This service can be accessed through WKU's CareerLink.

Partner with us for internships!

The CCPD is your first resource for internship-related information.  Our office provides listings of internships and co-op opportunities via our online career portal CareerLink.  We also collect campus-wide internship data through our partnerships with academic departments and from the internship classes our office offers.
